Frequently asked questions
How fast is the Leaperkim Patton S?
80 km/h free-spin. The 126 V platform gives solid headroom for high-speed cruising. Safe real-world speed with tilt-back margin: 60 to 70 km/h.
What is the range of the Patton S?
100 km rated on the 2220 Wh battery. Plan for 65 to 85 km real-world: 75 kg rider, 35 km/h cruise, mixed urban. Aggressive high-speed riding drops it to around 50 km.
What are the Samsung 50S cells and why do they matter here?
The Patton S uses Samsung INR21700-50S high-drain cells. These handle the current spikes from the 3000 W motor at launch and climb without voltage sag, which is why Leaperkim markets the 50S variant as upgraded over the original Patton.
Is the Patton S a trail wheel or a road wheel?
Road-biased but capable off-road. The 16-inch configuration is nimbler than 18-inch touring wheels and gives good response on winding tarmac. On dirt trails the Patton performs, but serious off-road riders tend toward the Lynx or Sherman with longer suspension travel.
Can I carry the Patton S up stairs?
36 kg. Short bursts are manageable if you are fit, but this is not a wheel you carry daily up multiple floors. Most Patton owners use elevators or drive to the ride spot.
What is the max rider weight?
130 kg. That is 10 kg higher than many Inmotion wheels and gives real headroom for riders carrying gear or heavier builds. Performance stays consistent right up to the limit.
Is it legal in Spain?
No. The DGT does not homologate EUCs as VMP. At 80 km/h the Patton is well above the 25 km/h VMP speed limit regardless. Use on private land and off-road only.

Easy to use and powerful
§ 01 / Philosophy
The dual-purpose Veteran, refined. One wheel for the trail and the road home.
2220 Wh at 126 V from Samsung INR21700-50S high-discharge cells. The 50S variant matters on a wheel that climbs and accelerates as part of its job.
§ weight
36
kg · lighter than the original Patton
Light enough to lift into a vehicle, heavy enough to feel planted at speed. The S revision brings curb weight slightly under the previous Patton.
§ range
100
km · upper of 60–100 mixed
60–100 km depending on rider, terrain and speed. Off-road riding is harder on the battery than smooth tarmac at the same cruise.
The Patton brief, tightened.
The Patton has always been Leaperkim's dual-purpose wheel — an EUC built around a motorcycle-style knobby tire that genuinely works on dirt, gravel and singletrack while still being civil on the road. The S revision keeps that brief and tightens it: Samsung 50S cells as standard rather than as an upgrade, a more sealed and durable construction, and a small drop in curb weight.
If you want one wheel that covers urban routes and weekend off-road, this is the one in Leaperkim's range built for it.
2220 Wh at 126 V on Samsung 50S, a 3000 W / 7000 W motor, an 80 mm Fastace progressive hydraulic fork mounted mid-chassis, and a moto-style 3.00-12 ETRTO tubeless knobby. Same dual-purpose DNA as the original Patton, in the calibration the platform has been waiting for.
§ 02 / Systems
Four engineering choices that define the Patton S.
Factory data Leaperkim Veteran Patton S · 2220 Wh · 50S
01
Fastace progressive fork
80 mm of progressive hydraulic travel, mid-mounted. Preload is adjustable; damping is click-adjustable. Mid-mount keeps weight low and central so the wheel pivots around the rider rather than nodding under load.
02
3000 W rated · 7000 W peak
Sized to match the chassis rather than to win a spec-sheet contest — the Patton is meant to be agile and predictable, not the fastest wheel in the line-up. The dual-layer control board adds improved waterproofing and heat management over previous Pattons.
03
2220 Wh · Samsung 50S
126 V from Samsung INR21700-50S high-discharge cells — the variant that matters on a wheel that climbs and accelerates. Smart BMS handles short-circuit, overcurrent, high-temperature protection and per-cell balancing.
04
Moto knobby (3.00-12)
Tubeless knobby on a 12" motorcycle rim, 3.00-12 ETRTO carcass with multi-layer stinger protection. Different retailers label the assembly as 16" or 18" depending on what they measure — the moto carcass is what gives the Patton its off-road traction.
§ 03 / EnergyCharging
Dual-port charging.
5 A stock · up to 20 A combined
Dual-port. The stock 5 A charger fills the pack in roughly 4–5 hours. The Patton S supports up to 20 A combined when paired with additional fast chargers (sold separately) for owners who need a quicker turnaround between trail days.

§ 04 / BuildChassis
Sealed for road and damp trail.
Enhanced sealing · 36 kg curb
The Patton S adds enhanced sealing over previous Pattons — a more durable construction and tighter joints. Leaperkim does not publish an official IP rating, so we describe the build as weather-tolerant for road and damp trail conditions rather than committing to a number we cannot verify.

§ 06 / Who rides it
The Patton S rewards riders who want one wheel for road and trail in the same week — not pure top-speed, not pure touring.
A
The dual-purpose rider
Owners who want one wheel for road and off-road in the same week. Forest trail in the morning, rolls on the road back home — the brief the Patton platform was built for.
B
The moto-tire trail rider
Trail riders looking for a real off-road EUC carcass and proper hydraulic suspension. The 3.00-12 moto knobby and 80 mm Fastace fork have the travel and damping for genuine singletrack.
C
The agility-first rider
Owners moving up from a smaller-tire wheel and wanting more grip and ride compliance, but who value agility and predictability over peak top speed.
×
Pure top-speed riders
Riders chasing peak top speed — the Sherman or Lynx-S series will be faster. The Patton is calibrated to be agile, not the fastest wheel in the line-up.
×
Long-distance touring riders
Riders who measure days in 100+ km on tarmac — the Sherman L 4000 Wh is the better fit. Touring-tuned motor, longest range in the family.
×
Pure urban tarmac riders
Anyone who never leaves smooth city tarmac. The knobby tire is heavier and louder than a road tire on smooth roads — a Lynx-platform wheel will be a better daily companion.

Dimensions (H × L × W)
570 × 530 × 203 mm Single-source figure (myewheel) — provided with caveat.
Yes — the moto-style 3.00-12 knobby is a real off-road carcass, and the 80 mm Fastace fork has the travel and damping range to soak up trail roughness. Many Patton owners ride exactly this dual-purpose mission.
Q-02What is the difference vs the original Patton?
50S cells as standard rather than as an option, more durable construction, slightly lower curb weight. Same wheel size, same suspension travel, similar power.
Q-0316" or 18" wheel?
The Patton uses a 12" motorcycle rim with a 3.00-12 motorcycle tire. Different retailers label the assembly differently. The carcass is what matters — the ride and traction come from the moto tire, not from the rim-diameter label.
Q-04Does it have an IP rating?
Leaperkim does not publish an official IP rating for the Patton S. The build is sealed for road and damp trail conditions. Avoid deep water and pressure washing.
Q-05What is the realistic range?
60–100 km depending on rider weight, terrain, speed and tire choice. Off-road riding is harder on the battery than smooth tarmac at the same speed.
Q-06EU warranty?
