It is the 2023 refresh of the V8 platform — the bigger battery owners had asked for, with the same compact external dimensions so existing accessories and carry solutions still fit.

Light enough to carry, big enough to commute, with enough peak power to handle hills and stops without protest.

The V8S is positioned for riders who want simplicity over suspension complexity. It is a non-suspension wheel — the tire and rim do all the smoothing — so road choice matters more than on a sprung platform. For daily urban routes under 50 km round-trip, that trade is the point of the wheel.

Riders with daily routes under 50 km round-trip who want a real urban EUC rather than a beginner-class wheel. 726 Wh covers the round trip; 16 kg makes carrying it up stairs at the end of the ride a non-issue.

Long-distance touring riders

726 Wh and a 40–55 km real range are the urban sweet spot, not a touring spec. For 100+ km days, look at the V12S's 80–120 km range or a 20-inch platform.

Off-road and heavier riders

The V8S is street-tuned with a 16" wheel and a 120 kg max load. Off-road riders and heavier riders looking for headroom should move up to the V12S, which lifts both the suspension and the load ceiling.
