Inmotion V9 Electric Unicycle

The Inmotion V9 is a premium 16-inch electric unicycle built for riders who want serious performance without sacrificing refinement. From the daily city commute to weekend back-road exploring, the V9 delivers smooth, confident power in a package light enough to carry up the stairs.

Performance & Range

An 84V system pairs a 1000W rated motor (2000W peak) with a 750Wh battery, giving you up to 60 km of range on a single charge. Speed scales to your skill: a 25 km/h standard limit for new riders, unlocking to 45 km/h in free-spin mode once you're ready. A 16-inch tubeless 16×3.0 tire keeps grip and rolling comfort high across mixed terrain.

  • Nimbus Air Suspension with 60mm travel and vertical air shocks featuring damping chambers, soaking up curbs and rough surfaces.
  • Just 23 kg, easy to lift and store, with a 120 kg max load.

Charging & Durability

Recharge in 5h with the standard 2A charger, around 2.5h with a 4A fast charger, or roughly 1h on a 10–16A supply. The frame is rated IPX6 and the battery IP67 for all-weather peace of mind. The V9 is UL certified, so safety is engineered in from the inside out.

The V9 sits between the V8/V8S (rigid commuters) and the V11Y (full-suspension 18″ tourer). It is Inmotion's practical commuter-with-some-comfort wheel — enough suspension to absorb urban surface texture, enough range for a full daily commute, light enough to carry, and old enough that the firmware is mature.

First EUC ever to obtain UL 2272 certification. Pedigree that still matters in 2026.

RideConnect over Bluetooth — ride mode, lighting, alarm thresholds, GPS tracking. The app + GPS combination is more useful for a wheel that lives outside locked on bike racks than the spec sheet suggests.

Q-01Why does UL 2272 still matter?

UL 2272 covers battery and drive-train electrical safety. In 2026 it still matters for indoor charging permission, building insurance and shipping. The V9 was the first EUC to receive it.

Q-02V9 or V8S?

V8S is rigid (no suspension) and lighter. V9 adds 60 mm of suspension, more range (750 Wh vs ~480 Wh), and UL 2272.

Q-03V9 or V11Y?

V11Y has full air suspension (100 mm), more battery (~1500 Wh class), longer range and more comfort — and more weight. V9 is the lighter / cheaper / mature commuter.

Q-04What's the real-world range?

35–50 km depending on rider weight, terrain, ambient temperature and cruise speed. The 60 km rated figure is achievable at low constant speed with a light rider.

Q-05Can I commute in rain?

IPX6 covers most realistic rain scenarios. Avoid puddles deeper than the wheel sidewall and never pressure-wash.
