How fast does the Inmotion V9 go?

45 km/h top speed. Real cruising speed settles around 35 km/h once the tilt-back safety envelope kicks in. The V9 is tuned for commuting, not high-speed runs, and the 1000 W motor keeps it predictable.

What range can I expect from the V9?

60 km rated on the 750 Wh battery. Real numbers: 35 to 50 km for a 75 kg rider at 25 to 30 km/h on flat roads. Hills and aggressive acceleration push you toward 30 km.

How long does it take to charge?

5 hours with the standard 2A charger. Inmotion offers an optional 4A fast charger that drops full charge to 2.5 hours, and a 1C fast-charge option for about 1 hour. Pick based on how much downtime you can schedule.

Is the V9 waterproof?

IPX6 rated. That means it survives strong jets of water from any direction, which in practice covers rain, wet streets, and occasional puddles. Not submersion-proof. Still worth drying after wet rides.

Does it have suspension?

Yes, 60 mm of suspension travel. Small by Begode or Leaperkim standards but noticeably better than rigid-frame wheels like the V8S. Enough to take the sting out of urban bumps.

Is the V9 a good first wheel?

Yes, one of the solid choices for intermediate learners. 23 kg is manageable, 45 km/h top speed gives room to grow, and the IPX6 rating removes most weather anxiety. Expect 10 to 15 hours of practice to ride confidently.

How much can the V9 carry?

120 kg rider weight limit. It handles urban hills up to a 30° grade with that load, though sustained climbs will drain range faster than flat cruising.

It is Inmotion's practical commuter-with-some-comfort wheel — enough suspension to absorb urban surface texture, enough range for a full daily commute, light enough to carry, and old enough that the firmware is mature.

Q-01Why does UL 2272 still matter?

UL 2272 covers battery and drive-train electrical safety. In 2026 it still matters for indoor charging permission, building insurance and shipping. The V9 was the first EUC to receive it.

Q-02V9 or V8S?

V8S is rigid (no suspension) and lighter. V9 adds 60 mm of suspension, more range (750 Wh vs ~480 Wh), and UL 2272.

Q-03V9 or V11Y?

V11Y has full air suspension (100 mm), more battery (~1500 Wh class), longer range and more comfort — and more weight. V9 is the lighter / cheaper / mature commuter.

Q-04What's the real-world range?

35–50 km depending on rider weight, terrain, ambient temperature and cruise speed. The 60 km rated figure is achievable at low constant speed with a light rider.

Q-05Can I commute in rain?

IPX6 covers most realistic rain scenarios. Avoid puddles deeper than the wheel sidewall and never pressure-wash.
