Begode Extreme 2400Wh — The Professional Off-Road Electric Unicycle

The Begode Extreme is a high-voltage, hard-terrain electric unicycle built for riders who push past where lower-voltage wheels run out of headroom. With a 134V nominal 2400Wh pack feeding the C40 high-torque 3500W motor, it delivers the climbing power, sustained torque and free-spin ceiling that serious off-road and long-distance riders demand.

Who it's for

This is a wheel for experienced riders, trail and mountain enthusiasts, and high-mileage commuters who want one machine that does it all — steep ascents, rough ground and genuine all-day range. The 120 kg max load and rugged chassis make it a confident platform for larger riders and heavier gear.

Performance and range

Expect roughly 110 km/h free-spin and around 80 km/h in real-world riding, paired with about 100 km of real-world range (up to ~160 km under ideal conditions). The 16-inch wheel runs a 16×3" knobby off-road tyre (J802, 3.0-12) for traction on loose and broken surfaces, while spring suspension with 130 mm of travel (dual spring 900/1300 lbs, optional air shock) soaks up the terrain.

134 V battery architecture

2400 Wh at 134 V on Samsung 21700 cells. The high-voltage system lets the 3500 W motor pull cleanly under climbing load. 50S in current ewheels stock; some runs 50E.

3500 W nominal C40 motor with 24-MOSFET controller. Voltage architecture gives the motor headroom a typical 100 V system cannot match on hard climbs.

Air-oil shock with adjustable damping — one of the longer suspension setups in the EUC market. Usable travel under rider load is roughly 60–80 mm. Begode recommends the air shock for riders 80 kg and above.

16" rim with a 3.0-12 ETRTO motorcycle carcass — the J802 knobby. Some retailers describe this as 18" by overall outside diameter; the 16" rim figure determines fitment. The moto carcass gives the Extreme its trail bite.

The serious off-road rider

Riders who want a moto-tire EUC with long suspension travel. The 16" J802 carcass and 130 mm air-oil shock carry grip onto loose surfaces that ask too much of a road tire.

The heavier rider

Begode recommends 80 kg+ for the air shock to work as intended. The Extreme's chassis and pack are sized for riders the lighter wheels in the range cannot fully support.

Lightweight riders under ~70 kg

The air shock will not fully compress to use its travel. A coil-sprung wheel or a lighter platform will give more responsive suspension feel for lighter riders.

Q-01 Tire size — is it 16" or 18"?

The rim is 16". The motorcycle tire (3.0-12 ETRTO carcass) gives an overall outside diameter that some retailers label as 18". We give both numbers so the spec is unambiguous — the 16" rim figure is what determines fitment.

Q-02 Why the air shock rather than coil?

Begode tunes the Extreme around an air shock because it lets the suspension rate scale with rider weight by changing pressure rather than swapping springs. The trade-off is that lighter riders (~70 kg or less) may not move enough air to use the available travel.
