DESCRIPTION
An 18-inch air-sprung commuter for the long ride to work and back.
The V11Y is the V11 reworked with a 2500 W motor and the Raptor Y controller. At its center sits the air spring, 85 mm of travel pumped to the rider's weight, working with a tall 18 × 3-inch tire. Potholes, curb edges and tired city asphalt arrive as soft swells, and the 1500 Wh pack, rated for up to 120 km, covers a suburban round trip with ease.
The ride is relaxed rather than racy. It stays composed as the pace builds toward 60 km/h, and 100 N·m of torque carries it up the hills on the way home. Coming from an older, smaller wheel, the change is felt at once. The V12S is faster and has a little more travel; the V11Y answers with a bigger tire, a tunable spring and about 5 kg less to wheel along.
AIR SPRING, YOUR SETTING
Air pressure decides the character: a little more keeps the wheel tidy when you push the pace, a little less lets it float over cracked cycle paths. Changing it takes a pump and a few minutes.
CAPACITY FOR DAILY DISTANCE
The 1500 Wh is built from 80 cells in 21700 format, split into two packs and watched by the BMS. It is sized for real daily kilometers, not just the hop to the station.
CALM POWER FROM RAPTOR Y
The 2500 W motor peaks at 7000 W through INMOTION's Raptor Y controller. Delivery is tuned for an even, predictable pull in traffic rather than a sudden shove.
A FULL CHARGE DURING WORK
The supplied 2.5 A charger takes about 8 hours, which suits an overnight plug-in. The two ports accept up to 10 A, so faster chargers can refill it during a working day.

QUESTIONS
Up to its 120 kg rider limit, yes, and the air spring is the reason: you add pressure until the suspension carries you properly instead of riding deep in its travel. Riders above that limit need a wheel rated higher, such as the LeaperKim Lynx S at 150 kg, though that is a far bigger and faster machine than a commuter.
Both are 18-inch commuters with air suspension. The S18 Pro+ is the lighter, gentler wheel: 25 kg, 100 mm of travel and 45 km/h. The V11Y carries more battery, 1500 Wh against 1110 Wh, and reaches 60 km/h. For a short, rough commute the KingSong fits; for longer distances at a quicker pace the V11Y does.
The headlight is rated at 1500 lm, bright enough to read the road surface on unlit paths. The tail light gets brighter as you slow, so whoever rides behind you can tell you are braking. Ride data and battery status live in the INMOTION app, as there is no screen on the wheel.
You can, but it is easier on a calmer wheel first. With a 60 km/h top speed and the mass of a full-size commuter, it asks for some riding experience. The INMOTION V9 is the wheel to learn on, with air suspension at 23 kg. Once balance is second nature, the V11Y is a relaxed partner for long commutes.
