DESCRIPTION
A heavy 20-inch distance wheel with 4700 Wh on 176.4 V, for experienced riders.
The Sherman P takes the Sherman L's formula, a 20-inch-class tire on 90 mm of hydraulic suspension, and adds about 700 Wh of battery, a 176.4 V system and a 3800 W motor peaking at 10 000 W. Fast or cold riding cuts well into the stated 180 km, yet the margin stays wide, and with extra chargers its two ports take up to 20 A, so a long lunch stop puts back a large share of the energy.
Compression, rebound and air pressure all adjust, and with springs up to 70 lb and a 150 kg rider limit it suits heavier riders too. At 52 kg it is for riders who have already lived with a big touring wheel, and walking-pace turns take practice. The ORYX holds the same 4700 Wh on a taller tire and weighs 5 kg more; the Sherman P keeps it in the 20-inch format.
SIX ZONES OF TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Samsung 50S cells sit in two packs, and the BMS checks voltage per cell group across six temperature zones. On a pack this large, that oversight matters on long, hot climbs.
A CONTROLLER WITH A BACKUP
36 MOSFETs handle up to 960 A peak, and the controller keeps balancing if a motor hall sensor fails. That safeguard matters most on long, fast days far from home.
DAMPING FOR LONG DAYS
Compression and rebound set to the road keep fatigue down over a full day. Air chambers between 2.0 and 3.5 bar decide how firmly it resists deep in the 90 mm of travel.
THREE HOURS AT 10 A
The supplied 5 A charger refills the 4700 Wh pack in about 6 h, an easy overnight job. At 10 A with an additional charger, about 3 h is enough.

QUESTIONS
There is no preload adjustment, so the coil spring is what matches the suspension to you. Lighter riders take the 62 lb spring, heavier riders the 70 lb, and the 66 lb sits in between. With the right spring, the air chambers and damping only fine-tune the feel, rather than trying to make up for a spring that is too soft or too stiff.
The Sherman L is the lighter, more manageable touring wheel: 46.5 kg, 4000 Wh on 151.2 V and a 3200 W rated motor. The Sherman P adds energy, voltage and a 3800 W rated motor, and weighs 52 kg. If your longest rides already fit the Sherman L, it is easier to live with. If you want the deepest reserve in a 20-inch wheel, take the P.
On the road the weight disappears; off it, plan ahead. The magnesium trolley handle and folding kickstand handle rolling and parking, but lifting it into a car trunk is a real effort. A garage or ground-floor storage makes ownership far easier than a flat up several flights of stairs.
The LeaperKim app sets pedal hardness, so the wheel can feel soft and forgiving or firm and direct, along with tilt-back settings and speed alerts. On long rides that lets you match the wheel to tiredness or the road. The display on the wheel shows the essentials without reaching for the phone.
