BEGODE · Future

DESCRIPTION

A learner's wheel kept deliberately simple, on a wide tire that steadies first rides.

The Future is BEGODE's beginner wheel and makes no secret of it. Its 14-inch rim carries a fat 3.50-8 tubeless tire, and that broad footprint is what new riders feel first: at walking pace, where balance is hardest to hold, the wheel stays steady and predictable. Top speed is 22 km/h, with an alarm from 20 km/h, so progress stays unhurried. There is no display; the tail light doubles as the battery gauge.

The 375 Wh pack suits practice sessions, errands and short, flat trips rather than a daily commute. There is no trolley handle, only a carry handle with an anti-spin lift button, so its 16.8 kg goes by hand whenever you walk it. The KingSong 14D PRO is quicker, about 2 kg lighter and carries more battery; the Future answers with the wider tire, putting a calm start ahead of room to grow.

A NEIGHBORHOOD, NOT A CITY

BEGODE rates the Samsung 50GB pack at 15 to 25 km for a 70 kg rider: enough for a few laps of the park and a trip to the shop, not for a return ride across town.

TUBELESS AND LOW-FUSS

The 3.50-8 tire runs without an inner tube, so there is nothing inside to puncture when an early wobble clips a curb. Check the pressure before each session to keep steering predictable.

GENTLE PULL ON THE FLAT

The 800 W motor handles flat paths and gentle ramps comfortably, and with a 22 km/h ceiling there is little to manage beyond balance. Steep hills are not what it is built for.

EASY TO SPOT AT DUSK

Two headlights at the front and a matrix LED tail light make you easy to see on an evening practice in the park or a short trip home after dark.

BEGODE · Future

QUESTIONS

Both are 14-inch learner wheels without suspension. The V5F is the lighter one at 11.8 kg, reaches 25 km/h and has a pull-rod trolley handle, but its narrower tire uses an inner tube. The Future is heavier and slower, and answers with a broad tubeless tire that feels steadier at walking pace. Pick the V5F for lightness, the Future for a calmer first week.

Use the carry handle, and press the lift button first: the wheel stops spinning, so it stays calm in your hand. At about 43 × 24 × 51 cm it fits in a hall closet or the corner of a car trunk, and its simple build means there is little to snag or scratch when you lift it in.

BEGODE does not publish a charge time. The supplied 42 V / 1.5 A charger is a small one, so expect several hours from empty rather than a quick top-up between sessions. The easy habit is to charge it the evening before you plan to practice, so every session starts with a full pack.

Yes, the maximum rider load is 104 kg, lower than on most larger wheels. If you are close to that limit or above it, choose a wheel with more motor and a higher load rating, such as the KingSong 16S PRO, which takes riders up to 120 kg and is still easy to learn on.
