DESCRIPTION
A slim, light 16-inch wheel for learning to ride and for the daily commute.
The V8S is a 16-inch beginner wheel from INMOTION, with a narrow shell, a street tire and a weight of just 16 kg. It leaves the factory capped at 25 km/h, so the first sessions stay unhurried, and the limit lifts to 35 km/h in the app once balance stops being a conscious effort. The light, balanced build responds quickly and predictably, and the slim shell makes stepping on and off feel natural.
With 728 Wh on board, normal riding brings roughly 35 to 45 km, plenty for a cross-town commute and the ride home. There is no suspension, so it is happiest on smooth asphalt, and lighter riders get the most out of its motor on climbs. The V9 adds air suspension and more speed; the V8S answers with 7 kg less, which keeps the stairs up to a flat easy.
READY AGAIN BY MORNING
The supplied 1.5 A charger refills the 728 Wh pack in about 6 hours, so plugging it in after an evening ride has it ready for the next day.
GENTLE POWER TO LEARN ON
The 1000 W motor gives 65 N·m of torque in a smooth, easy way, so starts never surprise a new rider. On steep ramps it rewards a steady pace rather than a rush.
SIMPLE TO WHEEL INDOORS
Pull out the retractable trolley handle and it rolls into a shop, onto a train or into an office lift. The anti-spin button stops the wheel turning when it leaves the ground.
A SIGNAL WHEN YOU SLOW
The rear light brightens as you slow down, a clear cue for anyone close behind in city traffic. The built-in speaker gives voice alerts while you ride; it does not play music.

QUESTIONS
A little, and it pays off. Check the pressure every week or two: a well-inflated 16 × 2.125 tire keeps the wheel light to steer and is less likely to pinch the tube on a sharp curb edge. If you do get a puncture, the fix is a tube change rather than a quick plug, which any EUC workshop handles.
The V5F is the smaller, simpler wheel: 14-inch, 11.8 kg, 320 Wh and 25 km/h, good for short hops and practice. The V8S has a larger 16-inch wheel and more than twice the battery, which makes it a real commuter. It also gives you room to grow, as the limit rises to 35 km/h once you are ready.
These two are close. Both are 16-inch wheels without suspension that top out at 35 km/h. The KingSong 16S PRO carries a bigger 840 Wh battery and a 1200 W rated motor, at 17.4 kg. The V8S is a little lighter at 16 kg, with a slim shell that new riders find easy to get along with.
Riders close to the 120 kg load limit, or with long, steep climbs on the daily route, will feel the motor's limits sooner. For them the KingSong 16X PRO, with a 2200 W rated motor and 1554 Wh, has more in reserve. Riders who want a top speed above 35 km/h should also look further up our lineup.
