DESCRIPTION
A sprung 16-inch city wheel for streets that are more cracks than asphalt.
The S16 Pro keeps KingSong's compact wheel size and adds what its unsprung sibling, the 16X PRO, leaves out: 88 mm of spring travel between the pavement and your feet. Cracked sidewalks, curb drops and patched asphalt arrive as gentle nudges, and KingSong tunes the power to build smoothly, so a lean gets a calm, measured answer rather than a sharp snap.
Coming from a bigger wheel such as the 18XL, it is striking how planted it stays on asphalt, grass and forest paths. At 31.8 kg it is heavier than the 16X PRO; the difference is the suspension. When the daily route is rough, it is the compact KingSong that takes it in stride.
COMFORT WITH CLEARANCE
An X-type linkage and a 750 lb spring handle the impacts, and the tall 230 mm pedal height keeps the pedals well clear of curb edges and raised manhole covers in tight turns.
TWO PORTS FOR A QUICKER TOP-UP
The supplied 5 A charger refills the Samsung 50S pack in 4 to 5 hours. A second port lets a compatible dual-charger setup reach 10 A, handy when the wheel is your daily ride.
POWER WITH ROOM TO SPARE
The 3000 W rated motor has more in hand than a daily commute asks for, so steep streets and headwinds pass without the wheel feeling strained.
SEEN FROM EVERY ANGLE
Four adjustable headlights switch on by themselves in tunnels and at dusk, while side lights, turn signals and a brake light tell traffic what you are about to do.

QUESTIONS
The S18 Pro+ is the lighter sprung KingSong, at 25 kg, with 100 mm of air suspension on an 18-inch wheel, but a smaller 1110 Wh pack and a 45 km/h top speed. The S16 Pro gives up some weight for a bigger battery, more power and a compact 16-inch wheel that stays easy to place in traffic.
KingSong gives a real-world figure of 65 to 80 km, which is a useful planning number rather than a best case. For most riders that means several days of city commuting between charges. Expect the lower end with a heavier rider, cold weather or sustained fast riding.
On the flat it is easy: the telescoping trolley handle rolls it along, and the integrated kickstand lets it stand on its own in a hallway or shop. Stairs and public transport are where the weight shows. It suits riders with a ground-floor entrance, an elevator or a garage.
KingSong does not recommend it for complete beginners, and we agree: 60 km/h of top speed and its weight make early falls harder on you and the wheel. If you want suspension from day one, the INMOTION V9 is made for learning, with 60 mm of air suspension at 23 kg, and the S16 Pro can follow later.
