The S9 is not a performance EUC and was never meant to be. It sits at the bottom of KingSong's line-up as the trainer / kids / fun wheel — 155.4 Wh, 250 W, 10 km/h, 60 kg load limit. Everything about it is sized for its job.

A small pack sized for short, slow rides. 50.4 V on charge. Smart BMS handles per-cell overcharge and short-circuit protection — the same safety architecture KingSong uses on the bigger wheels, scaled down.

Motor power and speed envelope are both held low on purpose. 250 W is enough to start cleanly under a 60 kg load; the 10 km/h ceiling keeps the wheel inside the performance class it is designed for.

10" wheel · no suspension

A small contact patch on a 10-inch wheel, no suspension, no off-road pretensions. The trade-off is intentional: low weight, easy carry, easy storage, and a footprint that fits anywhere a child or guest will use it.

Aircraft-grade aluminium frame

The S9's frame uses an aircraft-grade aluminium alloy — light, stiff, and durable enough for a wheel that will spend its life being carried up stairs and dropped on tile. Removable tire keeps the only consumable part easy to service.

Sized for the load limit

The S9 runs a 250 W motor capped at 10 km/h. Both numbers are held low deliberately — this is a trainer / kids wheel and the speed envelope matches the 60 kg load limit. No tuning, no unlock, no surprises. The motor starts cleanly under load and tilts back well before the limit.

The load limit is real, not a soft number. Anyone above 60 kg should look at the KS-16S, KS-18XL or higher — wheels designed for the weight envelope.

Commuters and distance riders

155.4 Wh and 10 km/h are not commuting numbers. The S9 is intentionally not the wheel for getting anywhere fast — for that you want a 16- or 18-inch platform with a real touring battery.

Riders who want any speed

The 10 km/h cap is the design and there is no setting that removes it. If speed is the priority, the S9 is the wrong wheel — KingSong's KS-S22 / KS-S20 line is the answer.

No. The 60 kg load limit and 10 km/h top speed make the S9 a trainer / kids wheel. Anyone above 60 kg should look at the KS-16S or larger.

Q-02 Why is it called "Basketball"?

The body design is themed around a basketball — distinctive orange-and-black styling that gives the S9 its identity. Same hardware as the standard S9, different shell.

Q-03 Can the speed cap be unlocked?

No. The 10 km/h cap is the design — it matches the 60 kg load limit and the 250 W motor envelope. It is not a setting that owners can remove.
