The Inmotion V5F monowheel was produced as an improved version of the Inmotion V5 with an increased battery capacity, and very quickly replaced the latter since it was the Inmotion V5F where the battery could cope with most everyday tasks.
The Inmotion company is one of the leaders in the electric unicycle market, and the Inmotion V5F at the moment is their best electric unicycle of 14 inches. As with most similar unicycles - the main advantages of Inmotion V5F are compact design, light weight and maneuverability. These monowheels are great for beginners, kids, and can be a cool wheel for jumps or last mile. It is also good to have as a second wheel if you already have a large 18-inch wheel.
Weighing 11 kilograms this is one of the lightest unicycles, while the battery will allow you to travel up to 30 km at speeds up to 25 km / h, which is very good performance for this class of unicycle.
At the same time, the Inmotion V5F has comfortable pedals with an anti-slip coating, comfortable soft cushions to protect the lower leg and parking lights that ensure safety at night.
Max. Speed (km/h) : 25.
Frequently asked questions
What is the top speed of the Inmotion V5F?
25 km/h. That is the hardware ceiling, not a software limit you can unlock. The V5F was built as an entry-level 14-inch wheel, so Inmotion tuned the motor and controller for stability at commuter speeds rather than top-end.
How far does the V5F go on a single charge?
The 320 Wh battery gives 30 km under spec conditions (75 kg rider, flat surface, around 15 to 20 km/h cruise). Real-world range drops to 18 to 22 km if you push full throttle or ride hills. Good for last-mile and short commutes. Not a touring wheel.
Is it a good first electric unicycle for a beginner?
Yes. The 14-inch tire is forgiving on wobble, the 13 kg weight means you can catch it when you lose balance without hurting yourself, and 25 km/h is slow enough to learn without panic. Most people are riding solo within 8 to 12 hours of practice.
Is the V5F legal on Spanish roads?
The DGT does not currently homologate electric unicycles as VMP. In practice that means: legal on private property and off-road, grey area in bike lanes, and municipalities can fine you under local ordinances. The 25 km/h speed does match the VMP ceiling, but classification is the blocker, not speed.
How heavy is the V5F and can I carry it on the metro?
13 kg with a telescopic handle. You can wheel it like carry-on luggage in the metro or up stairs in a pinch. Compared to bigger wheels like the V11Y at 30 kg, it is noticeably easy to move around.
Does it have Bluetooth speakers?
No. The V5F keeps it simple: no speakers, no app gimmicks beyond the basic Inmotion app for firmware and diagnostics. If you want music on your ride, bring a bone-conduction headset.

Inmotion V5F Electric Unicycle
Its a great wheel, but it does not take long before you reach its limits and want a bigger wheel.
Fantastic for doing tricks, but not a lot of mileage or speed.
§ 01 / Philosophie
The Einsteigerklasse 14" wheel. Light, slow, learn-friendly.

Wh · 84 V
Sized for short trips and learning sessions. 30 km in ideal conditions, 18–22 km real-world for daily use.
The smallest, lightest wheel in Inmotion's Reichweite.
The V5F is Inmotion's lightweight 14-inch Anfänger EUC: 13 kg, 320 Wh, 25 km/h speed limit. Designed for first-time Fahrer, trick practice, and last-mile Pendelverkehr where compact size matters more than Reichweite.
Its job is to teach, to play and to bridge a short distance from a station to a destination — not to compete with performance wheels.
Geschwindigkeit-limited to 25 km/h at the hardware level, sized for first-time learners, kids and last-mile Pendelverkehr. It is not a performance wheel and is not meant to be. For owners of larger wheels, it doubles as a small companion for short trips.
§ 02 / Systeme
Four engineering choices that define the V5F.
Factory data Inmotion V5F · 320 Wh · 14"
01
320 Wh · 84 V
Sized for short trips and learning sessions rather than for any kind of touring or Pendelverkehr beyond city blocks. Stock 84 V charger fills the pack in about 3.5 hours.
02
550 W motor
Nominal figure. Spitze not officially stated. Hardware-limited to 25 km/h regardless of conditions — the V5F cannot be unlocked into a higher-speed wheel.
03
14" wheel · no Federung
Anti-slip pedals with protective cushioning etwa the contact area. Small wheel size keeps the format compact and learn-friendly — no shock absorption, by design.
04
13 kg · telescopic handle
Curb weight including the telescopic handle. Light enough for a child or a small adult to carry. Inmotion does not publish an official IP-Schutzklasse für das V5F.
§ 03 / LearningLearn-friendly
Built for first Fahrer.
Low speed · light · forgiving
The V5F is one des wheels most often used by first-time learners. Low speed limit, small 14-inch wheel, 13 kg curb weight — everything about its specification points at the same use case: teaching the format without intimidating the Fahrer.

§ 06 / Für wen
The V5F is built for first-time Fahrer, kids, and owners of larger wheels who want a small companion — not for commuters who need Reichweite or for Fahrer who want speed.
A
First-time EUC Fahrer and trainees
The V5F is one des wheels most often used by people learning the format. Low speed, small size and 13 kg curb weight match the use case better than any larger wheel.
B
Children and teenagers
Geschwindigkeit-limited at 25 km/h in hardware, light enough for a younger Fahrer to carry. The format that gets handed down in EUC families when an adult moves up to a größer wheel.
C
Owners of larger wheels
A small companion wheel for short trips, trick practice, und das last mile from a parking spot or a station. 13 kg fits in a car trunk or under a desk without thinking about it.
×
Daily commuters who need Reichweite
18–22 km real-world is short. For real Pendelverkehr, the V8S or a larger wheel is the right pick — the V5F's pack is sized for learning sessions, not for round-trip commutes.
×
Fahrer who want more speed
The 25 km/h hardware limit cannot be removed. Fahrer who want to ride schneller need a different wheel — the V5F was never built to be unlocked.
×
Heavier Fahrer looking for headroom
120 kg max load is the listed limit. Heavier Fahrer, or Fahrer who want spec margin under load, are better served by a larger wheel with a größer motor and Akku.
25 km/h Hardware-limited. The 25 km/h ceiling is set in hardware and cannot be removed or unlocked.

Q-01Can the speed limit be removed?
No. The 25 km/h limit is a hardware limit auf der V5F. It cannot be removed, flashed away, or unlocked into a higher-speed wheel.
Q-02Is it safe for children?
This is one des wheels most often used by younger learners — its low speed, small size and light weight match the use case. Adult supervision and proper protective gear are still required.
Q-03Will it commute?
For very short distances (under 15 km round-trip), yes. For real Pendelverkehr, the V8S or larger is the right pick — the V5F's 320 Wh pack is sized for learning sessions, not for daily round-trips.
Q-04Does it have Federung?
No. The V5F has no Federung by design — anti-slip pedals with cushioning etwa the contact area are the only damping the Plattform offers. The format is intentionally simple and lightweight.
