Overview

Leaperkim, sold under the Veteran brand name, built its reputation on one thing: the Sherman. Released in 2020, the original Sherman made the EUC community rethink what a touring wheel could be. 100V, 3000Wh, a shape like a bread loaf, and range numbers that felt impossible. Riders were pulling 200 km on a single charge at commuter pace.

Since then the Veteran lineup has grown. The Sherman L updated the classic with Samsung 50S cells and better motor windings. The Sherman S and Sherman Mini brought the platform down in size for riders who wanted the Sherman ride without the full 36 kg. The Lynx introduced suspension to the Veteran platform, going head to head with the Inmotion V13. And the Patton is the off-road variant, knobby tire, heavier suspension travel, aimed at gravel and trail.

Leaperkim sits in a specific spot in the market. Less firmware polish than Inmotion, less raw cowboy power than Begode flagships, but the best value-per-watt-hour and some of the most comfortable stock pedals in the industry. The wheels are known for being easy to ride at sustained high speeds without fatigue, a consequence of motor tuning and pedal geometry rather than marketing.
